Five Quick and Affordable Ways to Freshen Up Your Home For Spring

May 21, 2025
Give Your Home A Spring Refresh Spring is finally here and I couldn’t be more excited! If you live in the Midwest, then you know that the winters can be long and gray! Warmer temps and that happy sunshine beaming down is a clear calling that it’s time to do a little spring refresh at home.  Resetting your home for spring doesn’t have to be expensive.  Walmart has some gorgeous home decor options that will not only freshen up your home, but elevate it.   Here are 5 quick and affordable ways to freshen up your home this spring along with a few of my home decor favorites from Walmart.   (Please note this post contains affiliate links. That means that I may earn a commission when you use my link, at no extra cost to you. Thank you for being here!) 1. New Hand Towels One of the easiest ways to freshen up your kitchen is adding new and season appropriate hand towels.  Walmart has many options from clean neutrals to bright and cheery.  Whichever end your style lands on, you can easily find affordable yet good quality towels at Walmart.  Below are a few that caught my eye.  2. New Throw Pillows Freshen up your living room with new throw pillows.  If you have a neutral room, pillows with a pop of print or colors are a great way to a bit boldness to your room.  Regardless of your style, pillows are a fun way to mix and match prints and textures to show off your personality.  The best part, throw pillows aren’t permanent.  You can update your entire living room without the expensive purchase of new furniture. 3. Real Plants There is nothing like adding a little life to your home with a real plant!  I don’t necessarily have a green thumb, but I also don’t find it too hard to keep houseplants alive.  With proper sun and water, plants can last for decades.  Outside of the planters you pot them in, plant don’t go out of style and can even become a decorative piece with sentimental value over time.  Add some real plants to your home to brighten things up all year long.  4. A New Fresh Scent When freshening up your home for spring, it’s important to remember your senses.  Don’t forget about a new fresh scent to set a spring mood.  I personally love fresh linen or citrus this time of year.  It’s amazing how the scent of a new candle can lift  your mood for the day. 5. A Spring Wreath Don’t forget the exterior of your home when resetting it for a new season.  A new spring wreath is a must when switching from winter to warmer weather.  Welcome your guests with a cheerful new wreath this spring. Lately, I’ve been loving Walmart for inspiring home decor. Below is inspiration that I’ve found and curated from Walmart.  Shop these pieces for your own home refresh for spring.   Wreath / Hand Towels / Sugar Lemon Candle / Plant / Basket / Navy Striped Throw Pillow / Yellow Pillow Wreath / Hand Towels /Pure Linen Candle / Plant / Basket / Ivory Throw Pillow / Blush Plaid Pillow Wreath / Hand Towels / Candle / Plant /   Striped Throw Pillow /  Blush Pillow Refresh Your Home For Spring With Walmart A little home refresh for spring can be quick, easy, and affordable with Walmart, where you can always find the look for less.
